Recently Rajasthan government has announced to give 100 units of electricity free of charge. Along with this, it has been announced to waive all charges from 101 to 200 units. After this, Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah held a cabinet meeting and said that the cabinet has decided to fulfill all the five guarantees in the current financial year.

One of the guarantees includes 200 units of free electricity, which will be implemented across the state from July 1. However, he said that the balance will have to be paid by the customers. CM Siddaramaiah said that 200 units of electricity will be free.
