AMD Quietly Launches Ryzen 5 7400F Processor with 6 Cores, 12 Threads, and Up to 4.7 GHz Speed

AMD has quietly launched its new processor Ryzen 5 7400F. On the company’s website, it is said to be released on January 9, 2025 with “global availability”. However, this processor is not yet available on major e-commerce platforms like Amazon.
This processor is based on AMD’s Zen 4 architecture and uses TSMC’s 5nm FinFET process technology (6nm FinFET for the I/O part). It has 6 cores and 12 threads, and its base clock speed is 3.7 GHz, reaching 4.7 GHz in boost mode. It offers 0.3 GHz less speed than the Ryzen 5 7500F. The processor includes 6MB L2 cache, 32MB L3 cache, and a default TDP of 65W.
