Asmita Dorji climbed Mount Everest

Jamshedpur. Tata Steel Adventure Foundation (TSAF) senior instructor and experienced mountaineer Asmita Dorjee (39 years) has successfully scaled Mount Everest. Tata Steel gave this information in a statement issued here.

Asmita was able to climb the world’s highest peak on the morning of May 23, according to the release. Asmita started her journey on April 3 and reached Everest Base Camp on April 14 after eight days of trekking in the Khumbu region.

Asmita crossed the dangerous Khumbu avalanche on May 18 and reached camp number two on May 19, according to the release. Asmita started climbing the summit at 10 pm on 22 May and reached the summit of Everest at 08:20 am IST on 23 May. Asmita was accompanied by Lakfa Nuru, a very experienced Sherpa guide from Nepal.
