boAt TAG Smart Tracker Launched in India at ₹1,199 with Google Find My Device Support
India’s popular smart accessory brand boAt has launched its first smart tracker boAt TAG. It is a Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) device that works with the Google Find My Device network. With this device, users can easily track their lost essential items such as wallets, keys, bags, or other belongings. It is priced at just ₹1,199, making it a much more affordable option than Samsung Galaxy SmartTag and Apple AirTag.
boAt TAG Features and Specifications
boAt TAG is a semi-real time global location tracker that uses Google Find My Device technology. It is capable of tracking devices up to a Bluetooth range of up to 10 meters. It has an alarm of 80 decibels, which helps in finding your belongings.
It also has an Unknown Tracker Alert feature, which alerts users when unauthorized tracking is done by an unknown tracker. It has a battery life of 1 year, and the company has also provided an additional battery unit with it so that it can be used for a long time. It is currently compatible with Android devices only.
boAt TAG Price and availability
The company has launched boAt TAG only in Black color option. Its introductory price has been kept at ₹ 1,199 and it comes with a 1-year warranty. The device will be available on Flipkart and boAt’s official website from 24 February 2025 at 12 noon.
There will be direct competition with JioTag Go
boAt TAG will compete directly with the recently launched JioTag Go, which was introduced at a price of ₹ 1,499. JioTag Go also has Google Find My Device support and CR2032 battery. However, the boAt TAG is cheaper and comes with an extra battery, increasing its value for money.
This new Bluetooth tracker from boAt can prove to be extremely beneficial for those who want to keep their valuables safe and on track. With a low price and powerful features, the boAt TAG can emerge as an affordable and useful smart tracker in India.
