Brad Pitt Sues Ex-Wife Angelina Jolie Over Winery Sale, Actor Claims She Sold Shares With ‘Secret’

New Delhi: Former couple Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s legal battle seems never ending.

According to People, Pitt is now suing Jolie for selling part of their shared French vineyard without consulting him. The Oscar-winning actor claims in new court documents that the association presents an “existential threat to the business” because of the new part owner’s ties to Russia – amid the ongoing war in Ukraine.

The winery’s first amended complaint, filed in February 2022, sought declaratory relief, disgorgement and damages, along with pre- and post-judgment interest, for the defendants’ alleged tortious interference with the contractual relationship.

In legal documents obtained by PEOPLE, the complaint alleges that Jolie sold her interest in the property to Tenute del Mondo, whose parent company is spirits maker Stoli Group, which is “controlled by Russian oligarch Yuri Scheffler.”

“Shaffler’s Russian-affiliated spirit group has been the subject of repeated boycotts in connection with Vladimir Putin’s invasion of Ukraine and his gay legislative agenda,” the lawsuit states. “While Scheffler may try to wash his reputation by forcing a partnership with one of the world’s most famous and popular actors, the association with Scheffler and Stoli threatens the reputation of the business Pitt so carefully built with Perrin. created and to which Pitt has so closely and carefully associated himself and his image.

Pitt reportedly learned of Jolie’s alleged positive sales through a press release.

The lawsuit claims that the alleged sale was “illegal” due to a breach of an “agreement between Jolie and Pitt to hold Miraval together and not to sell their interests separately without the other’s consent.”

Pitt and Jolie acquired a controlling interest in Miraval in 2008. They started selling their roses in March 2013 and married at the chateau in August 2014. Pitt alleges that when Jolie filed for divorce in 2016, they both agreed not to sell their Miraval. Share without each other’s permission. , US magazine reported.
