Delhi Premium Bus: Delhi Government notified draft plan for premium bus service

New Delhi The Delhi government on Saturday issued a draft notification for a scheme for premium bus service. The government hopes that the scheme will encourage middle and upper middle class people to use public transport.

These air-conditioned buses will have security measures like CCTV cameras and ‘panic buttons’ and seats can be booked online through an app. The cabinet plans to start ‘premium’ bus service on the roads of the national capital early this month. has been approved. It was sent to Lt. Governor VK Saxena.

Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal had said that after the Lt Governor’s approval, the scheme would be shared with the public for suggestions.

Kejriwal had said that the ticket price of these buses will be higher than the Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) fare, so there will be no provision of free travel for women.
