‘Feels like I’m restarting my career’, says Manish Paul about his digital debut ‘Rafuchakkar’

New Delhi: As the trailer of Manish Paul’s OTT debut show Rafuchakkar dropped today, the multi-talented actor expressed excitement and nervousness like a newbie entering the industry.

With an illustrious career spanning over 15 years, Manish Paul has donned many hats to entertain audiences, however, Rafuchakkar presents him in a most unique and never-before-seen avatar. Given the actor’s versatility, Rafuchakkar portrays Manish Paul in not one but five different looks.

Talking about the trailer and his digital debut, Manish Paul said, “I am experiencing a roller-coaster of emotions. I have butterflies in my stomach, I am excited, nervous, curious and grateful, I feel like a new person, starting my career all over again. Darn it’s nothing I’ve done before, the show has discovered aspects of me that I didn’t know existed. I am very excited to introduce Manish 2.0 to the audience and I am grateful to Jio Studios for giving me the right platform to showcase my potential.

The trailer of Rafuchakkar depicts the story of an artist named Prince played by Manish Paul. With five different avatars, Manish looks almost unrecognizable in every look. The show promises drama, suspense and lots of entertainment.

After an impressive and impactful performance in Jugjag Jio last year, which led to a string of awards for the actor, Manish Paul pushed his boundaries to highlight the different facets of his versatile talent in his OTT debut – Rafuchakkar.

Directed by Ritam Srivastava, Rafuchakkar stars Priya Bapat and Manish Paul in lead roles and is scheduled to start streaming on Jio Cinemas from 15 June 2023.
