Hot Scoop: Alia Bhatt to play Sita, Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram in Nitesh Tiwari’s ‘Ramayana’

Mumbai: As ‘Adipurush’ takes the story of Ramayana forward and gears up for its theatrical release, another film on the same theme is being made. Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt, who played the role of Sita in the blockbuster film ‘RRR’, is all set to play the role of Goddess Sita in Nitesh Tiwari’s much-awaited film ‘Ramayan’.

According to media reports, Alia has been confirmed to play Sita alongside real-life husband Ranbir Kapoor, who will be seen as Lord Ram. Good news for those wondering if Nitesh Tiwari’s film was scrapped.

The film is completely on track. Recently, Alia was also seen outside Nitesh Tiwari’s office. Nitesh, known for films like ‘Dangal’, ‘Chichhore’, is currently busy with Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor starrer ‘Bawal’, which is based on World War.

This will be Alia and Ranbir’s second pairing after their previous film ‘Brahmastra’.
