Huawei Pura X Foldable Phone Launched: Price, Features, and Availability

Huawei has officially launched its latest foldable smartphone Pura X in China. This smartphone has become available for sale from today. Most foldable phones in the market follow either a book-style or clamshell design, but Pura X has come up with a new concept, featuring a unique sideways folding design. This gives a wide display when the phone is opened, which makes it unique.

Design and Display

The biggest highlight of the Pura X is its sideways folding design. When it is folded, its cover screen appears in square shape, with a triple camera module underneath. But when it is unfolded, its 6.3-inch display provides a wide screen with a 16:10 aspect ratio. This extra width gives users a better multitasking, web browsing and document reading experience.

Camera and Performance

Huawei Pura X has a triple rear camera setup for photography, which includes a 50MP primary sensor (OIS), a 40MP ultra-wide lens and an 8MP telephoto camera, which supports 3.5x optical zoom and 30x digital zoom. It has a 10.7MP front camera for selfies and video calling.

This smartphone runs on Huawei’s latest operating system, Hongmeng OS 5, which is called HarmonyOS 5 in global markets. To power the phone, a 4,720mAh battery has been provided, which supports 66W fast wired charging and 40W wireless charging.

Other Features

Huawei Pura X has got IPX8 water-resistance rating, which makes it safe even in water. For connectivity, it has Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC and USB 3.1 Type-C port.

With its unique design, powerful hardware, and the latest software, Huawei Pura X is expected to be a strong competitor in the foldable smartphone market.

Pricing and Availability

The base variant of Huawei Pura X (12GB RAM + 256GB storage) is priced at 7,499 yuan, while the 12GB RAM + 512GB storage model is priced at 7,999 yuan.

Apart from this, a Premium Collector Edition has also been introduced, which has 16GB RAM and tri-color leather back cover. This edition comes with satellite communication support and has two storage options:

• 512GB storage variant: 8,999 yuan
• 1TB storage variant: 9,999 yuan

This smartphone is available for sale on Huawei’s official online platform.
