Age is just a number and veteran actor Anil Kapoor has proved it time and again. His hard work, fitness and dedication to work is quite inspiring, especially for young actors nowadays. Adding another feather to his cap, the actor once again proved his mettle by winning a prestigious Golden Trophy at the IIFA Awards in Abu Dhabi this year. Making everyone proud, Anil Kapoor won the IIFA Award for Performance in a Supporting Role – Male for his impressive performance in the 2022 film, Jug Jug Jio.
While the win has obviously brought joy to his fans, a proud son-in-law Anand Ahuja was also seen appreciating his father-in-law’s latest achievement. Taking to his Instagram story, Anand shared an IIFA post dedicated to the actor’s win at the awards night.
While Anand Ahuja didn’t add any text or message to the post, his gesture was enough to show his pride and joy for his dearest father-in-law. Apart from that, the actor’s daughter Rhea Kapoor also shared the same post on her IG Stories, congratulating him on his big win.
Meanwhile, IIFA added an appreciation note sharing Anil Kapoor’s award moment on stage and wrote, “Anil Kapoor’s immense talent, versatility and dedication earned him a prestigious recognition and “Performance in a Supporting Role – Male”. IIFA trophy for “#After her sensational performance in JugjuggJeeyo.”
The actor also interacted with the media before joining the show and expressed his excitement for the night. “It is a festival of cinema and Abu Dhabi is a wonderful place. We are all very happy and also thrilled to be here for the second time as IIFA has been happening for 22 years now,” he told ANI.
On the work front
Last seen in the family comedy-drama film Jug Jug Jio, Anil Kapoor was also seen in Prime Video’s crime thriller television series, The Night Manager.
He will next be seen in Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone starrer Fighter, which is slated to release next year. Anil also has Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s upcoming gangster drama Animal in the pipeline.
