Kantara star Rishabh Shetty appealed for Film City in Bangalore

Bangalore: ‘Kantara’ star Rishabh Shetty recently attended the 9th Seva, Sushasan Garib Kalyan National Convention here. At the event, he advocated the establishment of a film city in Bangalore. “Reaching the audience is a challenge and we are getting support from the government. There are some requests, like to build a film city in Bengaluru,” Rishab said.

At the summit, Rishabh was joined by musician Aman Ali Bangash, former Indian field hockey player and captain of the Indian national team, Viren Ruskinha, co-founder CAXpert Yashodhara Bajoria, and Indian boxer Akhil Kumar.

Rishabh won worldwide acclaim with his stellar performance in ‘Kantara’. Directed by Rishabh Shetty, ‘Kantara’ was released on September 30, 2022, and received a massive response from the audience for its story and stunning visuals. Produced by Homble Films, the film also stars Pramod Shetty, Achyuth Kumar, Saptami Gowda and southern actor Kishore in lead roles.

Set in a fictional Kannada village, Dakshina follows Kantara Shetty’s character, who plays a Kambala champion, who encounters an honest forest range officer.
