Theni (Tamil Nadu). A 56-year-old man, who was attacked by the elephant ‘Arikomban’ in Tamil Nadu’s Theni district, died on Tuesday morning while undergoing treatment. The police gave this information.

Police said that Kumbam resident Palraj, who was injured in the elephant attack, was undergoing treatment at Theni Medical College and Hospital since Saturday. Palraj died on Tuesday morning. The victim was attacked by a wild elephant, causing panic in Kumbam city. The elephant also damaged property.

This elephant loves to eat rice and for its craze it has even damaged several shops in the neighboring state of Kerala. Only last month he was released in the state’s Periyar Tiger Reserve and on Saturday he wandered to the border town of Kumbam.
