Miss World 2023 pageant comes to India – find out when and where to watch

New Delhi: Miss World 2023 beauty pageant is coming to India. Yes, you read that right. India will host the 71st edition of Miss World. To make the announcement, reigning Miss World Karolina Bilawska was at a press conference held in New Delhi on Thursday along with Miss World Organization Chairperson and CEO Julia Morley.

“India is ready to welcome the world with open arms and showcase the country’s grace, beauty and progressive spirit with the 71st Miss World 2023. Join us in celebrating the power of women to make a difference, as we together this Let’s start an extraordinary journey, said Karolina Bilawska, Miss World 2022. Julia Morley also expressed her excitement at India being the venue for Miss World 2023.

Miss World Limited and PME Entertainment are joining forces to create an extraordinary Miss World Festival. The 71st Miss World 2023 in one of its own. will showcase the achievements of 130 national champions – a month-long journey in ‘Incredible India’ as we present the 71st and most spectacular Miss World Final ever. Competitors from over 130 countries will converge in India to showcase their unique talent, wisdom and compassion. They will participate in a series of rigorous competitions, including talent shows, sporting challenges, and charitable initiatives, aimed at highlighting the qualities that make them exceptional ambassadors of change.
There will be several rounds to shortlist participants over a period of one month from the grand finale scheduled for November/December 2023.

India will host the prestigious international competition after 27 years, last in 1996.

India’s tenure with this competition has always been exceptional. India has won the Miss World pageant six times – the first time in 1966. While Rita Faria won the Miss World title in 1966, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was crowned in 1994. Diana Hayden won the title of Miss World in 1997. Miss World in 1999.

In the year 2000, she was crowned Miss India World again with Priyanka Chopra. Manushi Chhillar became the sixth Miss India World.
