New Delhi: Actress-dancer Nora Fatehi has carved a niche for herself in Bollywood – all thanks to her amazing dancing skills and stunning hot bod. In her latest interview with BBC Asian Network, Nora talks about her journey in showbiz, struggles and more. The Moroccan beauty said, “At work, I’m sometimes shy, I’m difficult, because I don’t expect anything but the best, because I’ve sacrificed a lot, and when I’m in front of the camera When I go, or when I’m on stage, I don’t leave a piece, I eat.”
“In a year, if I am offered 10 songs, I will only say yes to one or two. And sometimes, I don’t say yes to any of them. I don’t want to bore the audience… I can’t even do a lot of songs, because what happens is, people in our industry might come into the field of typecasting, and then they can’t see anything else. Then you unfortunately have to open their eyes, because they’re also in tunnel vision.”
“All the chances I got were last minute and thankfully I was ready. I remember staying locked in my room and watching things on TV, working on Hindi. I won’t party or have a boyfriend like other girls. I realized in my second month in India that I needed to tone down his Canadian accent, tone down my body language and work on my Hindi. I missed my brother’s wedding, his birthday, everything. A lot of people were like, ‘Do you want to be like the next Katrina Kaif’?
He also recalled working at a hookah bar once and how he picked up on a star’s body language. “That’s the thing. You pick up the mirror, like, ‘Oh your mirror, how’s that? Yeah!’ It’s ‘Oh, you don’t need me. Well, I’m here.’
On the work front, Nora Fatehi has many hit songs. She became a household name with the song Dilbar and was later followed by Kamaria, Summer and many others.
