About 650 injured passengers have been taken to hospitals in Gopalpur, Khantapara, Balasore, Bhadrak and Soro, South Eastern Railway said. On Friday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced an ex-gratia of Rs 2 lakh each to the heirs of the deceased.
According to a statement from the Prime Minister’s Office, the ex-gratia amount will be allocated to the heirs of the deceased from the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund (PMNRF).
