OnePlus is preparing to launch its new foldable phone, OnePlus Open 2, soon. This phone will come with a bigger but thinner design than before. Technology website Smartprix has shared the render image and some special specifications of this phone, due to which this phone has become a topic of discussion among technology lovers.

The OnePlus Open 2 will have a thin and large design. Its thickness will be less than 10mm when folded, making it one of the slimmest foldable phones in the market. This time its “Oreo” circular camera module has been retained, which will have a triple-camera system certified by Hasselblad. The phone has been given an IPX8 waterproofing rating, which makes it more durable than the previous model.

Display and Performance

The phone will have an 8-inch 2K LTPO 120Hz main screen and a 6.4-inch AMOLED cover screen. It will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Extreme Edition processor, paired with up to 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of storage.

Camera and Battery

This foldable phone will have a triple camera setup at the back, including a 50MP main camera, a 50MP ultra-wide lens, and a 50MP telephoto lens that will support 3x optical zoom. The front will have a 32MP and 20MP dual camera system.

The OnePlus Open 2 will have a 5900mAh battery, which will support 80W fast wired charging and 50W wireless charging. This phone will launch with OxygenOS 15 based on Android 15.

Launch Date and Availability

The OnePlus Open 2 is expected to launch in China in early 2025, while the global launch could take place by the second quarter of 2025. The phone will likely be a rebranded version of the OPPO Find N5. The phone is expected to be available in two storage options and two colour variants, including a standard black variant.
