New Delhi An assistant sub-inspector of Delhi Police was allegedly attacked with a knife by a man and injured late on Thursday night.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (West) Vichitra Veer said that the attacker has been identified and efforts are on to nab him. Assistant Sub-Inspector Vikram Singh under the Zakhira flyover in West Delhi’s Moti Nagar area, the official said. was stationed at a checkpoint.

Around 1 p.m., they stopped a man after observing “suspicious activity.” They said that when Singh was searching the person, the person attacked Singh’s right arm with a knife. Singh was immediately taken to the hospital where he is undergoing treatment. Veer said that a case has been registered against the accused under various sections of the Indian Penal Code.
