Pushpa 2 OTT Release Update: Makers Hint at Streaming Date and Plans for Extra Footage
Allu Arjun’s superhit film Pushpa 2: The Rule is making a splash at the box office. The film has so far made a global collection of โน1500 crore, making it the fastest film in Indian cinema to earn โน1500 crore. The film has also broken the records of blockbusters like Baahubali 2 and KGF Chapter 2.
Pushpa 2 OTT Release Confirmed
The makers have recently put an end to the rumors about the film’s OTT release. They clarified that “Pushpa 2” will not be available on any digital platform before 56 days. He posted on X (formerly Twitter) and wrote, “Enjoy the biggest film ‘Pushpa 2’ only in theaters this big holiday season. It will not come on OTT before 56 days.” According to reports, the film may stream on Netflix in February or March 2025.
Possibility of Adding New Footage in Theaters
According to rumors, the makers plan to add 15 to 18 minutes of additional footage to the film. Currently the duration of the film is 200 minutes (3 hours 20 minutes), and the addition of new footage can make it even more exciting. It is believed that this new footage can also be included in the OTT version.
Filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma has praised this move and called it a “masterstroke”. According to him, this decision can further increase the popularity of the film.
Pushpa 2 Box Office Collection, Earnings and Records
The film collected โน725.8 crores in the first week of its release and โน264.8 crores in the second week. The net collection in India has reached โน1004.35 crores. The Hindi version alone has grossed โน632.5 crore, making it the highest-grossing Hindi film of all time.
