Thane A leader of the Shiv Sena led by Eknath Shinde was stabbed to death by a group of about 6 people in Thane district of Maharashtra. A police officer gave this information on Saturday.

He said that no one has been arrested in this case yet. Hill Line Police Station Senior Inspector Ranjit Dere said that a person named Shabir Sheikh (45) was attacked with sharp weapons in Ulhasnagar’s Jai Janta Colony on Friday night.

He said that Sheikh was appointed as the President of Shinde-led Shiv Sena’s Ulhasnagar unit four months ago.
The police suspect that Sheikh, who is in the business of making jeans, has been killed for money.

The officer said that a case has been registered against the people involved in the said incident under section 302 (murder) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and the police is looking for the suspects. He said that the incident The people involved have been identified.
