Mumbai Famous Pakistani singer Rahat Fateh Ali Khan paid tribute to late Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala on his first death anniversary. During one of his concerts in America, Khan remembered Moosewala by dedicating the famous qawwali “Akhian Udiq Ki”.

Videos of the event are doing the rounds on social media. Khan is known for hit Bollywood songs like “Mann Ki Lagaan”, “Jiya Dhadak Dhadak”, “Bol Na Halke” and “Dagabaaz Re”. Sidhu is the real name of Musewala. Shubdeep Singh was shot dead on May 29 last year in Mansa district of Punjab.

Known as a singer and rapper, Musewala’s songs like “So High”, “The Last Ride”, “Just Listen” and “295” are popular in India as well as abroad.
In Mansa, on Monday, a candlelight march was taken out in memory of Moosewala and prayers were offered at the Gurdwara of village Jawaharke. In Moosewala’s village Moosewala, his friends and supporters took out a candlelight march and demanded ‘justice’ for him. Moosewala’s mother Charankaur also participated in this march.
