Smile Ambassador: Sachin Tendulkar becomes the ‘Smile Ambassador’ of Maharashtra’s Clean Mouth Campaign

Mumbai cricketer Sachin Tendulkar was on Tuesday selected as the ‘Smile Ambassador’ of Maharashtra’s Swachh Mukh Abhiyan. It is a campaign to promote oral hygiene.

Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Tendulkar on Tuesday. Sachin Tendulkar will be the ‘Brand Ambassador’ of this campaign for the next five years.

Swachh Mukh Abhiyan is a national campaign launched by the ‘Indian Dental Association’ to improve oral hygiene and educate people about its importance. These include brushing your teeth, washing your mouth, eating a clean diet, avoiding smoking and visiting the dentist at least twice a year. Five key messages promoted by the campaign.
