Disney’s tradition of turning its classic animated films into live-action films with new technology began some two decades ago. Many of them have also created excellent records of earnings at the box office. The earnings of ‘Frozen 2’ and before that ‘The Lion King’ have been so high that they kept the account of all the live action films made in front of them only in profit. A live action film refers to a film in which the actors’ characters are presented on screen in a different character with the addition of a layer of special effects. The focus here is on a mermaid. This story of Ariel, the daughter of the sea king, is centuries old. It was first published in 1837. Then it was mentioned in TV serials. Russ made the first film based on the story in 1976 and was followed by a Walt Disney Studio adaptation of the story and the animation film The Little Mermaid released in 1989.

Bua changed the story

Disney’s new movie “The Little Mermaid” is a technologically advanced IMAX and 3D version of its own animation film “The Little Mermaid.” This time the story is slightly different from the original story. This time the story involves efforts to end apartheid. And the onus is on the teenage mermaid, Ariel, the heroine of the story and mother of the hero. Both have a different color than the original film. Indra and Mala, the daughters of the king of Sagara, also appear at the beginning of the story. Ariel, the youngest of the daughters, loves adventure. Wandering in sunken ships, Ariel is tempted by the world beyond the sea. Against all odds, she rises above the water and in one such sequence rescues the prince from the sinking ship and carries him ashore. However, when she regains consciousness, she leaves. Here in the depths of the sea, his sister is desperate to get hold of the sea king’s scepter. A long time ago he was expelled from the society. She wants to use Ariel’s passion as her weapon. By luring him to become human, she tries to get the prince herself. However, the story returns to its original path as it comes to the episode.

Short film
Rob Marshall, this time with screenwriter David Magee, expands the story a bit. The original 83-minute film has now become a two-and-a-half-hour film and that too is the film’s weak link. Rob also worked with Alan Menken, the composer of the previous film. Mencken received two Oscars for the original film. Another original score for the film’s song ‘Under the Water’. The song ‘Under the Water’ is on its own this time. This single song can recover the ticket money to watch the movie in IMAX and 3D. Such a beautiful and colorful underwater world has rarely been seen before on the big screen. But, the story is dominated by the dark side of Sagar. The songs are also more than the previous film and due to this the story drags a bit.

Best movie for kids
But, despite its flaws, The Little Mermaid is a perfect summer vacation movie to watch with kids. Children will especially love this movie. Watching Dusky Mermaid will also be a new experience for children, but for the children of the new century it is also an important lesson of changing times. Hailey Bailey, the singer who plays Ariel, is a singer by birth. This is her first leading role in a film and she also believes that it is a bold step to integrate black people into the mainstream. He has a charm in his voice and whenever the film’s song ‘Part of Your World’ plays in his voice, he very effectively conveys the wishes, desires and aspirations of a teenager with the harmony of his voice and facial expressions. explains He is successful in presenting on screen.

When these four friends met, it was very frozen

Jalpari’s three friends are also very cool. Aquafina, voicing the mermaid, has done a wonderful job of keeping the character alive till the last scene. This scuttle is an important part of the aquatic story. Jacob Tremblay voices Flounder and Debbie Diggs voices Sebastian, the crab who receives mermaid surveillance duties from the King’s trusted advisor. In the climax of the film, the entertainment as well as the real miracle of this quartet is seen. Since the film is set in the first quarter of the 21st century, all the techniques of live animation are present here. The roaring waves in a sea storm scare you. The shark attack scenes in the deep sea are chilling and the sorceress Ursula’s tricks as the king’s sister are reminiscent of every folktale in which a beautiful princess is haunted by a witch.

Water, water, your color is like this…

If you go to watch the movie ‘The Little Mermaid’ just for entertainment, then the movie is good. The special effects of the film are amazing. Dion Beebe’s cinematography is the life of the film. Especially in scenes shot underwater where there are live action scenes with animated creatures, the composition of every frame impresses. What about Alan Menken’s music, though this time he also had to compose some new songs for Lin-Manuel Miranda. The climax of the film could definitely have been better and Rani should have avoided overtly pointing fingers at the work done by the rest of the characters in the film while conveying the message against apartheid. But, despite its flaws, The Little Mermaid is a giant leap forward in Disney’s filmography for children’s entertainment. Halle Bailey impresses in her first leading role in a film and this is an exciting and entertaining film for kids and their parents this summer vacation.
