Two minor girls who took bath in Yamuna river died due to drowning in Lalapur police station area of ​​Prayagraj (UP) district on Monday. A police officer gave this information.

Chandrika Yadav, senior sub-inspector of Lalapur police station, said that Shreya alias Pari (16) and Jagriti (16) were cousins ​​and had come to their village from Delhi. On Monday, during the day, she went to bathe in the Yamuna river with her younger brother.

He said that Shreya and Jagriti went down to bathe in Yamuna river keeping their younger brother standing on the bank but he went into deep water and died due to drowning. The bodies of both have been removed from the river and sent for post-mortem.
