U Turn Review: This time G5 teamed up with Ekta Kapoor to make a bad remake of a Kannada film in Hindi.

U Turn is a 2016 Kannada film directed by Pawan Kumar, starring Shraddha Sainath, Roger Narayan, Radhika Chetan and Dilip Raj. Two years later, Pawan Kumar made it in Tamil and Telugu with Samantha Prabhu, Bhumika Chawla and Rahul Ravindran and now it’s Arif Khan’s Hindi film U Turn. The story of Kehne Ko revolves around a crime reporter doing an internship at a newspaper who investigates accidents on flyovers. The police feel that he is behind the accidents happening on the flyover. Made in Hindi, ‘U Turn’ is a scene by scene carbon copy of a film made in South. In remake films, the greatest responsibility and challenge lies on the shoulders of the actors of the film to take the film to a different level with their acting, but if the performance of the actors of this film is compared to the original film’s actors. They don’t look that far away.

Ekta Kapoor, the producer of the film, said in an interview that she enjoys telling the stories of women the most. But in this film he has only played with the emotions of Indian women. There is a scene in this movie when Alaya F goes to drop off her mother in another city and her mother says you have found whiskey and vodka bottles in your dustbin, now even used condoms. This girl replied, if I do without a condom, will it be okay with you? Now only Ekta Kapoor can tell which mothers and daughters in India talk like this.

Awarded the country’s highest civilian honour, the Padma Shri, Ekta Kapoor has an old habit of talking dirty on OTT. Now such dialogues have started appearing in his films too and perhaps no better can be expected from him now. Talking about performance, Alaya F has disappointed the most. The story of the movie ‘U Turn’ revolves around his character but his flat face is the biggest hindrance in watching the movie. Gradually their confidence is increasing compared to earlier but the audience has to bear the consequences of paying money to watch the films of this training period.

In the rest of the cast of the film ‘U Turn’, the acting of Priyanshu Painoli, Ashim Gulati, Rajesh Sharma, Manu Rishi Chadha was average. Rajesh Sharma and Manu Rishi Chadha definitely impress with their performances in some scenes. The story of the film in Hindi is claimed to be written by Parvez Shaikh and Radhika Anand but what was their role as writers is not clear after watching the film. When the entire film is a true copy of the original, the name of the author of the original film could also work. The director has also made a carbon copy of the original after seeing it.
