Bijnor. A court in Uttar Pradesh’s Bijnor district has sentenced a youth to 10 years in prison for kidnapping a minor girl.

Police station in-charge Sihora Rajeev Chaudhary said that Deepak Kumar, a resident of village Mukari under Baloni police station area of ​​Bagpat district, kidnapped a minor girl on 11 July 2017.

According to Chaudhary, Deepak was booked under the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses (POCSO) Act, while a youth named Arjun was named as a co-accused.

According to Chowdhury, the court sentenced Deepak to 10 years rigorous imprisonment and also imposed a fine of Rs 40,000 on him. Along with this, Arjun has been sentenced to three years’ imprisonment and a fine of Rs 5,000. According to Chaudhary, the court has also ordered the victim to pay Rs 22,500 out of the fine amount.
