Lucknow. In various districts of Uttar Pradesh, including the capital Lucknow, life was affected due to strong winds on Saturday afternoon. Power supply was severely affected due to trees being uprooted and power poles falling at many places.

According to the report of the Zonal Meteorological Centre, Lucknow, there was a sudden heavy dust storm on Saturday afternoon in many districts including the capital Lucknow and its surrounding districts including Barabanki, Unnao, Gonda, Bahraich, Ambedkar Nagar, Ayodhya, Basti, Sharavasti and its surrounding districts. Full wind came. Sultanpur and some places also received heavy rain.

Due to the storm, trees fell in many places and electricity poles were uprooted in the affected districts. Apart from this, tin roofs were also blown off in some places. Due to this, public life was affected a lot. A tree was uprooted and fell on the footpath near Parijan Chowk, Lucknow.

However, there is no news of any loss of life in this incident. Apart from this, a tree was also uprooted in the Dali Bagh area due to strong winds. There have been reports of power poles being uprooted at many places. Due to this, the power supply has been badly affected in many places. In Punjab, strong winds and thunderstorms are continuing in many places for the last two-three days.
