Ballia (UP). A youth accused of allegedly abducting a youth from a village in Ballia district and raping him a month ago after taking him to Bihar has been arrested. The police gave this information on Saturday.
Dharamveer Singh, SHO of Bariara police station, said that a 17-year-old girl from a village in Bariara police station area had gone missing since the morning of April 23. Her brother had alleged in the police complaint that his sister had gone to learn computer but did not return home. A case has been registered against an unknown person in this regard.
He said that during the investigation of the case, the police got information that the girl belongs to Patahi area of East Champaran district of Bihar. The police on Thursday raided Patahi and arrested a person named Ajit Kumar Singh and freed the girl from his possession. He said that Ajit Kumar Singh, a resident of Patahi police station area of East Champaran district, kidnapped her. Took East Champaran. Made a victim of his lust.
He said that based on the juvenile’s statement, Indian Penal Code (IPC) sections 366 (kidnapping a woman or with intent to forcefully marry her) and 376 (rape) and sexual offenses against children. Sections of Protection (POCSO) Act have been added.SHO. He said that after completing legal proceedings, the accused was sent to jail on Friday.
