New Delhi- Top wrestlers led by Olympic bronze medalist Bajrang Punia started a meeting with Sports Minister Anurag Thakur at his residence on Wednesday morning.
The government has continued its efforts to reach a compromise with the wrestlers who are agitating over the arrest of former Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) president Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh. Thakur has called this meeting.
This is the second round of talks between the government and protesting wrestlers. The wrestlers also met Home Minister Amit Shah on Saturday night. The wrestlers are agitating to demand the arrest of Brij Bhushan, whom they have accused of sexually abusing female wrestlers, including minors.
