From his last directorial Mimi, filmmaker Laxman Utekar tackles a whole new genre, a middle-class drama revolving around a married couple dreaming of a home, which is refreshing, hilarious, emotional and relatable to watch. is The film is co-written by Maitri Bajpai, Ramiz Ilham Khan and Laxman Utekar.

The story is set in Indore, where Sara Ali Khan as Soumya Chawla, an employee of a coaching institute, and Vicky Kaushal as Kapil Chawla, a gym trainer, lead a happy married life with their parents and home, which May lack resources but not lack of love. and the heart

Like any middle-class couple owning a home is something we all aspire to, and Saumya is no different. She wants to build her dream house. After many failed attempts, and limited resources, the couple is losing hope, until one day they come across a government housing scheme, which has a special category of affordable housing for divorced women.

Soumya and Kapil make a plan – they will get a divorce, and get a house and they will live happily ever after. The plan is put into action, the couple files for divorce and to everyone’s surprise they end up divorcing as well.

But, unfortunately things don’t go to plan, what starts as a simple exercise turns into this emotional web full of fear, misunderstanding and doubts, what happens next will pretty much make up the rest of the film. Will this cute couple fall victim to their own devices or find their way back to each other?

The performances of everyone, including the lead duo Vicky Kaushal and Sara Ali Khan, along with Inamulhak, Sharib Hashmi, Rakesh Bedi, and Sushmita Mukherjee, pack a solid punch, with not a single false note in their narration.

Vicky and Sara’s chemistry will amaze you, this duo has created something special for everyone.
