Redmi K-Series Gaming Phone to Launch with Snapdragon 8s Elite and RGB Cooling Fan

Redmi is working on its new K-series smartphone, which could be designed for high-performance users and gaming enthusiasts. According to reports, this phone will run on Qualcomm’s upcoming Snapdragon 8s Elite processor and will have an in-built cooling fan, which will also feature RGB lighting.

According to tipster Digital Chat Station, this new Redmi K-series device can come with an active cooling system, which will have a built-in fan and RGB lighting. This indicates that it can be a gaming-focused smartphone, as it is very important to keep the processor cool during gaming.

The phone will feature the Snapdragon 8s Elite (SM8735) chipset, expected to deliver flagship-level performance. Apart from this, this phone will come with a large battery of more than 7,000mAh, ensuring smooth long-duration gaming and efficient multitasking.

However, other features of this new Redmi K-series gaming phone have not been revealed yet, but it is likely to come with a high-refresh rate display, LPDDR5X RAM, UFS 4.0 storage, and fast charging support. If it is being given a cooling fan for gaming, making it an ideal choice for high-performance games like PUBG Mobile, BGMI, and Genshin Impact.

Launch Timeline and Other Details

Redmi is planning to launch the Redmi Turbo 4 Pro with Snapdragon 8s Elite in April 2025. A few months later, this new gaming smartphone from the Redmi K-series is expected to launch. It is expected that its launch can happen with the Redmi K80 Ultra or in the third quarter (Q3) of 2025.

Apart from this, the company can also introduce the Redmi K90 series in the last months of the year. According to reports, the Redmi K90 Pro is expected to be powered by the next-generation Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 chipset, while the standard Redmi K90 may feature a customized variant of the Snapdragon 8 Elite.
