2025 Citroen C5 Aircross Prototype: First Road Test Images Unveiled, Showcasing Advanced Design and Features
Road test pictures of Citroen’s new 2025 C5 Aircross compact SUV, which has become a topic of discussion in the automobile industry, have been made public for the first time. This news was shared by Carscoops on December 2. According to the pictures and reports, this new SUV will be longer than its previous model and its total length will be 465 cm (183.1 inches).
Exterior Design
The design of the prototype reminds of the C3 Aircross, but it has a more refined body shape and slim LED headlights. The body frame of this SUV is square and it shows conventional door handles, large side mirrors and strong pillars. The rear lights are also combined with a higher body than before. Overall, the design has seen a good balance of modernity and practicality.
Interior Features
The pictures give a glimpse of the digital cockpit, which is integrated with the dashboard. Citroen has already promised that this SUV will have a very comfortable interior and a spacious five-seat cabin, which is described as a “cocoon on the go”.
Powertrain and Performance
The Citroรซn C5 Aircross shares its STLA Medium platform with models like the Peugeot 3008 and Opel Grandland, ensuring a competitive edge with proven performance and adaptability.
The 2025 Citroen C5 Aircross will be Stellantis’ fifth SUV based on the STLA Medium platform. It will be available with three different powertrain options:
- Petrol and mild-hybrid: It will be powered by a 1.2-litre turbocharged three-cylinder engine.
- Fully electric variant: It will be available in single-motor front-wheel drive and dual-motor all-wheel drive options. The battery capacity will come in two options of 73 kWh and 98 kWh, offering a range of up to 700 kilometres (435 miles).
- Plug-in hybrid possibility: The platform supports plug-in hybrid powertrains, but Citroen has not confirmed whether this SUV will come with this option.
Launch Details
Citroen has not yet announced the launch date of the 2025 C5 Aircross, but it is likely to be officially introduced in 2025.
This SUV is not only advanced in terms of design and performance, but it is also poised to become a strong competitor in its segment with modern technologies and features.
